4th to 25th September

Christine and I are running a Rally in Spain in September, the start will be from a site near San Sebastian close to the Franco Spanish border. After three nights there, we move to Burgos for a similar period. The Gothic cathedral there has been declared a World Heritage site and there are many other buildings and places of interest. Then off to Segovia, with its World Heritage Site city centre, fantastic Roman aqueduct and medieval castle, for three nights. We continue to Aranjuez south of Madrid. The site is not far from a station and regular train services into the city. Toledo, a city of great interest is also within comfortable reach. After five nights at Aranjuez we move to Salamanca, the old city is another World Heritage Site and the university, founded in 1218 the oldest in Spain. The final stay is at Tordesillas, south of Valladolid where we shall ‘rest’ for three nights before setting off for home. It is difficult to be accurate with cost, but we are not leaving until September to take advantage of ACSI rates where available. Additionally there is the journey to San Sebastian and the return from Tordesillas to be considered together with approximately 570 miles to be covered between the two. However, do not let this put you off, you may not get the opportunity to pass this way again. We hope to see you. Tom & Christine
