The Kingfisher site is just a few hundred yards from Stokes Bay Beach where you can walk along the promenade taking in the panoramic view of the Solent with all its sailing and big ship activities or even go for a swim! The maritime history of both Portsmouth and Southampton are within easy reach by car or bus. From just outside the site you can get a bus to Gosport ferry which will take you directly to Portsmouth Dockyard with the Victory, the Warrior and the Mary Rose or if you prefer, shopping at the retail outlet of Gun Wharf. Gosport itself has a diving, submarine and ordnance museums and a 12th Century Village.
